It’s ONE DAY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS DAY!
Wednesday, December 10th, 2008Spread the word — it’s the first annual ONE DAY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS Day!
To all those that have supported our first partner, One Day for Human Rights — Thanks a ton. Anca is doing an amazing job rallying troops over at ONFHR, and getting a TON of signatures in support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights printing on our passports.
Have you signed up yet? If not, do it now!
The dream of having a global Universal Declaration of Human Rights is extremely important. Human rights violations are rampant in many areas of the globe (heck, even in parts of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and many European countries). Part of realizing this global reality is creating a global awareness of the UDHR. What better way than getting it put in our passports?
Today is the 60th anniversay of the UDHR, and still barely any average joe citizen will be able to tell you what those letters stand for. Together, we can change that by signing the petition and promoting One Day for Human Rights wherever we go. Tweet it, blog it, e-mail it, create art around it — ANYTHING to get the word out! I know there are tons of you subscribed to the newsletter and RSS feed. Here’s the news you’ve been waiting for - Take ACTION!
Thanks again to Anca and her awesome efforts. IF you’re on twitter be sure to follow Anca and One Day for Human Rights for future developments.
-Alex
